As a successful grassroots volunteer organisation, we would appreciate help in the tasks in the right hand column. Experienced members will always be on hand to help and advise you. To volunteer you must be a current member you can join here
EVENTS AND PUBLIC FORUMS
These might be disseminating event material through your personal networks, greeting visitors, showing guests to seats, handing out materials, chatting to interested people, collecting signatures on petitions, signing up members.
LETTER DROPS AND SPREADING THE WORD
Tasks may include letter boxing, disseminating material through your personal networks, talking about QVM issues to others, chatting to interested people.
Periodically we need volunteers to do letterbox drops or hand out leaflets when we have an issue. You will be able to choose your area and workload. We appreciate the environmental cost of this approach and only use it after careful consideration
LETTER WRITING
If you are a keen correspondent, please consider joining our team of letter writers to help get our message out to the media, politicians and other influential parties. We can help co-ordinate campaigns and provide background information and briefings issues. See our Contact Decision Makers and Contact The Media pages.
WEBSITE, MAILCHIMP, IT & DATA ENTRY SUPPORT
Helping with IT issues – data base (MailChimp knowledge) , website – Square Space support for updates to website. We often need help keying membership forms and other user data.
Best suited to ongoing volunteers.
TELEPHONING
We do regular checks on our members database and need volunteers to call members whose details appear out-of-date or incorrect. You will not be asked to cold call or make sales and can choose your own work load.
